Elk River, Minn. (Jul. 31, 1995) -- SolarAttic, Inc. announced today that it will present its new porous wall duct and ventilation technology at the Minnesota State Fair which is being held from August 24 thru September 4, 1995. The Company's new technology will be on display in the Home Improvement Building.
The new duct & ventilation technology was formally introduced in a technical paper on July 18th, at the Solar 95 conference held in Minneapolis, by University of Minnesota Professor Ephraim M. Sparrow who is an expert in the field of heat transfer.
SolarAttic will present a year-around product that combines both ventilation and space heating. The new product will allow moisture to be mechanically vented out of the attic during the Winter and heat to be mechanically vented out of the attic during the Summer. During Fall & Spring, it allows free solar heat in the attic to be used for space heating purposes on Sunny days with temperatures as low as 30 degrees F.
Ed Palmer, SolarAttic's president, said: "When we talk of free attic-based solar heat for space heating to Minnesotans, it typically draws a blank stare. People simply do not realize how much free solar heat energy is available for their house--from their attic. Everyone understands the need for Winter and Summer ventilation. Our new technology provides controlled ventilation when needed and free solar space heating when available." For further information, contact James Kantorowicz at (612) 441-3440.
