SolarAttic Issued U.S. Patent 5,452,710

Elk River, Minn. (Sep. 5, 1995) -- SolarAttic, Inc. announced today that it is being issued U.S. Patent 5,452,710 on September 26th by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The patent covers the Company's self-sufficient domestic hot water heating technology. The new technology uses solar-derived hot attic air for its heat energy source in combination with photovoltaic cells for its electrical power source. The combination of a small attic heat exchanger and a small solar PV cell array can provide free domestic hot water.

Ed Palmer, SolarAttic's president, said: "The Company's new hot water heating technology will be effective in Minnesota for 5-7 months of the year. The Company expects that the new technology will eliminate 50% or more of the annual costs associated with heating hot water with electricity in MN. In other states like Florida, the technology will be effective year around and is projected to eliminate 75% or more of the costs of heating hot water with electricity. In third world countries without an electrical power source, the technology is designed to provide hot water completely free of any electricity input from a utility company."
