SolarAttic Files For Fourth U.S. Patent

Elk River, Minn. (Sep. 18, 1995) -- SolarAttic, Inc. announced today that it has filed for a fourth U.S. Patent.

The patent application covers the Company's proprietary duct and ventilation technology. The new duct/ventilation technology uses a tube with holes that increase in size from one end to the other to achieve uniform air collection or uniform air distribution along the entire length of the tube (duct). The new technology has a variety of useful markets and applications including some in medical market areas. However, the Company's main use of the technology will be in the area of heat collection and ventilation of the attic from within its cavity. The technology can eliminate the need for all roof and eave vents. It can control the entire heat collection and ventilation of the attic structure. A first in U.S. History!

Ed Palmer, SolarAttic's president, said: "The Company's new duct technology is a perfect compliment to the Company's three attic-based heat transfer patents. The combined technology now affords total control over the attic structure in terms of its heat collection and ventilation. As far as we can discern, this is the first time in U.S. history that an attic technology has emerged with such widespread energy implications."
