SolarAttic Expands Operations In New Business Incubator

Elk River, Minn. (Jun. 9, 1997) -- SolarAttic, Inc. announced today that it has completed its relocation to the new Elk River (Energy City) Business Incubator. The company began moving its operations out of the founders "garage" in mid April. Office and manufacturing operations are now located at 16820 Highway 10, Suites 130 and 140 respectively, Elk River, Minnesota 55330. The new location provides 3541 square feet of combined office and manufacturing space which is a significant expansion from the company's prior garage-based operations. SolarAttic has signed a two year lease agreement. The corporate mailing address will remain unchanged until the company finds a permanent location. As Energy Alley's designated Energy City, Elk River hopes to use the new business incubator to attract manufacturing businesses like SolarAttic that specialize in energy efficient or renewable energy products. SolarAttic is the first company to locate into the new business incubator.

In addition to the space expansion, SolarAttic has recently hired James (Jim) F. Stanley as its Vice President of marketing and sales. Jim brings extensive manufacturing and sales experience. This includes being the sales manager and number one sales person for a $25 Million a year manufacturing business. Jim and his family (wife Kathi & sons Jimmy, John) are current residents of Elk River.

Ed Palmer, SolarAttic's president, said: "These are exciting times for SolarAttic. The expanded staff and manufacturing space will help us ramp up our operations. To date, the company has been in primarily a developmental mode. However, most of the new attic-based solar technology has been developed and the company is now making the switch to an operating mode.
